About the Workshop:
Our 1-Day Intro to Stand-Up Comedy Workshop is designed for those with no formal experience or training who’d like to get started in the art of stand-up comedy! This workshop will be a combination of lecture, slides, videos, and in-class writing exercises so you leave the workshop better equipped to start your comedy journey!

Stand-up comedy is an art form that fosters self-expression and free speech, essential for societal growth, idea sharing, connection, and progress. In our classes, you’ll find examples from professional comedians, including some known for their ‘blue’ or edgy comedy. We want to clarify that our curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum of comedic styles and doesn’t exclusively focus on ‘clean’ or family-friendly comedy. It’s essential to know that our content can include adult themes, rated-R language, and what some may consider off-color or risqué humor. This class is not intended for children or those who may find such content uncomfortable. Welcome to our Stand-Up Comedy Workshop! It’s like a fast-track journey through our comprehensive 4-week program, where we’ll dive into every aspect of the comedic craft.
From understanding the science of laughter to mastering joke structure, writing, editing, and crafting your own unique material, creating captivating set lists, and delivering your performance with finesse. We’ll even delve into the intricate world of stage mechanics, and most importantly, the art of captivating and holding an audience’s attention.
This workshop is designed for those with a burning desire to learn the fundamental skills required to become a sought-after and extraordinary comedian. You’ll be equipped to write and perform jokes that leave audiences in stitches, ensuring a minimum of 1 Laugh Per Minute (1/LPM).

Class Transfers/Refunds:
- If the session or workshop hasn’t started yet and you notify us of your inability to attend, we are happy to move you into a new session or workshop or reimburse you for the full amount paid
- If the session or workshop has already started and you notify us of your inability to complete it before it ends, we are happy to move you into a new session or reimburse you for the unattended classes/hours
- If the session or workshop has already ended and you did not notify us of your inability to attend all of the classes/hours, we are happy to move you into a new session (refunds are not provided to “no call/no shows/walk-outs”)
Location/Parking:
Our studio, spanning over 5,000 sq. ft., includes a welcoming lobby and a comfy movie room for family and friends to relax. We provide ample free parking in our private lot, with additional 24/7 free parking available on nearby side streets!
